As part of that, there comes some stead-fast rules that are important to keep in mind. These rules are designed to make the process simpler and more intuitive for the client, and therefore are fairly straightforward themselves. 10 Twitterable Short Stories in 140 Characters or Less – Part 5

I have an uneasy relationship with Twitter. In effect, no one actually pays attention to me there. In response I started posting random bits of dialogue and descriptive text. I am now on my fifth installment of 10 snippets. The previous four can be found here, here, here, and here.

The Top Five Reasons Soccer (Futbol) Is The Most Popular Sport In The World

I totally believe that there is a 14 year old kid with glasses and a beaten up copy of the Global Almanac of Soccer that can name year, game, minute and player goal of any World Cup goal for the last 50 years off the top of his head.

As Americans, we always seem to be blindsided every four years by the amazingly over the top response to the World Cup that happens everywhere else in the world but here. We forget that our little corner of the world does not set the standard in insane crazy sports fandom for the rest of humanity.

Have you ever wondered why, then, Soccer is the most popular sport in the world? Wonder no more, I have taken the time (all of approximately 5 minutes) to explain it to you below. Continue reading

10 Character Snippets in 140 Characters or Less – Part 4

Since no one actually pays attention to me on Twitter, I started posting Random Snippets of Dialogue from stories that I will never write. This is the fourth bunch of 10 that I have posted so far.

8 Business Adages For Better Businessing

I have a bad habit of summing up complex professional situations with made up on the spot business adages that we all then groan about. In an effort to keep track of those sayings and create easy and semi-empty content for my blog so that I have something to post to my different social networks (especially LinkedIn – because that is the biggest pain in the butt of them all to manage), I thought it would be fun to post some of them here.

So, without further ado, and in the spirit of The 7 Real Signs of Creative Peoples, may I present to you, 8 Business Adages For Better Businessing. Continue reading

The 7 Real Signs of Creative Peoples

I have long wanted to wade into the deep and murky waters of Internet Meme List Making. Working in an actual creative industry for what I like to define as a Creative Agency, the recent rash of lists on what defines a creative person really jumped out at me, and I decided to dive in head first. It also gave me the chance to test out Getty Images new policy of letting blogs embed their images for free for non financial purposes, which I think is a very cool initiative on their part.

So, without further ado, may I present to you, based on my experience working in Advertising/Marketing (and considering myself a partial creative as well), the Top 7 Signs that define a real and truly creative person.
