Primaries Directive – The United Federation Elections of 2270 (Photo Gallery)

A year or so ago I started doing this as an exercise to play around on the edges of politics and current events and to see how long I could keep it up. The rules for myself were relatively simple: Only stills from Star Trek: TOS were to be used.

I spent way too much time doom scrolling Google Images for brain fodder and eventually ran out of steam. I probably could have been able to maintain momentum on it longer if I had started rewatching the series and did the screengrabs myself. But, regardless, politics is exhausting…

Anyway, welcome to the Federation Elections of 2270.

Short Story: Space, Time, And Rock-N-Roll (or Galactic Request Line)

( I wrote this circa 1985. I wanted to write comics, so thought it would be a good idea to try to write something that would fit the format. I submitted it to a couple of anthologies which I liked at the time and received some luke-warm interest, but nothing concrete. Just stumbled across it when I was digging through my storage unit for an old manuscript for something else. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but I am told that it is the thought that counts.)

Life has staged an intervention for me and forced me into its own 12 step program that has curtailed my dogged determination to be fully immersed in nerdology.

All of that does not mean that I no longer have any Geek tendencies, though. My former massive nerdishness still resonates strongly with my more nostalgic side and I keep my gauntleted hand in the water just to stay connected to that past part of me. That is why I thought it might be interesting to put together the following list of the current Top Five Nerdiest things in my life.
