The year 1,000,001 BC was a big year for the Tribe. I, Krog, son of Kroc, son of Kran, have kept records of all that has happened to us and have chosen the following items as the biggest things to represent the time that is now behind us, as we look forward to a new Megennium.

My Top 5 Favorite Books Of 2020 That Don’t Really Exist (in no particular order)
This has been an exceptionally long year. A year that I am sure we all would overwhemlingly prefer not to have existed.
So, in the spirit of the season and the longing for a year that we all wanted and would have preferred, but didn’t ultimately get to have – here are my top 5 favorite books of that alternate 2020. But don’t really exist in this 2020.

(I take a serious back look at the next 200 years)
In the early 21st Century, the Executive Orders Civil War was launched by Donald J Trump shortly before dying in office from an Apopletic Stroke.
After that, the office of President switched back and forth every four years from one party to the next with each new incoming President reversing all the previous Administration’s Executive Orders with new Executive Orders.
This lasted through the early mid-Century when the Singularity went fully online, including everyone that could afford to upload their consciousness – leaving behind the middle class, but taking Facebook and Twitter with them. Continue reading

Another Tricky Day – Chapter One by Ben Fuller
(This is the first chapter to a book that I started to write in 1988. I wrote two chapters, did a full outline, and a complete chapter by chapter breakout. It is basically a YA action/adventure fantasy starring me and my best friends from High School. I was going to start sending it out to agents back then, but got caught up in writing a screenplay that I cannot find now. I don’t think anything was lost in not sending it out – after re-reading it and re-typing it to post here, I don’t think it was written for any audience other than me and my three friends that it features. I will add Chapter Two, outline and chapter by chapter breakouts in the next month or so.)

Short Story: Dissolve To Old Age
( I wrote this in 1988. My memory of writing it is how smugly proud I was of the depth and ripeness of meaning the finished story had. Having re-read it after all of these years and re-typed it to post here, I am struck by how obvious and shallow it actually is, and how unbalanced the narrative . Still, I like it and what I was trying to say with it, regardless of how poorly I actually said it.)

I tried submitting it as well, but comic anthologies at the time were a bit on the outs. Just stumbled across it when I was digging through my storage unit for an old manuscript for something else.)

Short Story: Space, Time, And Rock-N-Roll (or Galactic Request Line)
( I wrote this circa 1985. I wanted to write comics, so thought it would be a good idea to try to write something that would fit the format. I submitted it to a couple of anthologies which I liked at the time and received some luke-warm interest, but nothing concrete. Just stumbled across it when I was digging through my storage unit for an old manuscript for something else. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but I am told that it is the thought that counts.)
